<Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-A> - Set the alarm clock. Enter the time at which you wish the alarm clock will beep. The time must be entered as HH:MM, where HH stands for hours, and MM stands for minutes. When the alarm begins to beep, it continues for a period of 20 seconds. If you enter the word NONE, instead of the time, any current setting will be cancelled. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-B> - Draw frames and lines. To draw a frame, place the cursor on one of the top corners of the frame you wish to draw and press F7 (begin block). Then place the cursor on the opposite corner of the frame, and press F8 (end block). Now execute the frame command <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-B> or use the pull down menu. To draw Horizontal lines in the frame you have just created, repeat the same method <F7> and <F8>, but the Begin block and the End block markers should be in the same line. To draw Vertical lines, do the same, but the Begin block and the End block markers should be in the same column. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-C> - Centers the text in the current line. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-G> - Toggles between the two windows. An error message will appear on the screen if there is no second window. The cursor returns to its last position in the window and all text operations will now be performed in the current window. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-H> - Sets the paragraph indent. When executing this command, the computer will prompt with: NEW PARAGRAPH INDENT VALUE:. You can give also a negative number, for out indent, entering first the minus sign and then the number. The number represents a relative value to the appropriate margin. After pressing <Enter>, a new paragraph will start at the column number set by paragraph indent, when Word Wrap is ON. In that case, the cursor will be positioned in the next line in a column, whose number is the result of adding the Paragraph Indent value to the appropriate margin value. This operation may end up with 3 different results: 1. When the Paragraph Indent value is equal to zero, the new paragraph will begin exactly from the appropriate margin. 2. When the Paragraph Indent value is greater than zero, the new paragraph will begin "inside" the text, or in other words, in a column whose number is greater than the margin number. 3. When the Paragraph Indent value is less than zero (negative), the new paragraph will begin "outside" the text, or in other words, in a column, whose number is less than the margin number. In any case, the computer always checks to see if this value is valid, (if it does not overflow the opposite margin or the beginning of the line). An automatic adjustment will take place to insure validity. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-I> - Moves the cursor to a column in the current line. The computer will ask for the number of the column. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-J> - Toggles Justification ON\OFF. When Justification is ON, the line will auto justify, after a word wrap or reformatting. (See <F3> for a definition of Justification). <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-L> - Sets the left margin. The computer will ask for the new left margin and will beep if you give an illegal number. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-O> - Opens a second window on the screen. (A maximum of two windows can be opened). After pressing this command, the computer will ask the number of lines which will be shown in the new window. The size of the first window will be decreased by the same number of lines. The computer will also ask for the name of the file that will be in this window. By entering a file name, the computer will load the file in the window. Pressing <Esc> will avoid loading a file; this will cause the text in both windows to be the same, and any addition or modification of the text in any of the windows will also appear in the other one. Text can be moved from one window to the other using the regular commands. (See <Ctrl-K> <Ctrl-C>, <Ctrl-K> <Ctrl-V> and <Esc>).
<Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-P> - Go to a specific page number. The computer will ask for
the page number. The cursor will jump to the first line in the page.
<Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-R> - Sets the right margin. The computer will ask for the new right margin and will beep if you give an illegal number. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-S> - Sets Undo Limit. This number limits the maximum number of lines which can be stored in the Undo Stack at the same time. If more lines than this number are deleted, then the first lines that were deleted disappear in order to make room for the most recently deleted lines. Once a line disappears from the Undo Stack, it can not be restored back.( See <Esc>). <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-W> - Toggles the Word-Wrap mode. When this mode is active, the computer checks if words have overflown the margin at the end of the line, and will move the excess words to a new line. The computer will add a new line if the Insert mode is on, and will transfer the excess text to that new line. Lines which are Word-Wrapped have a dot mark in column 80. The Word-Wrap mode is shown in the Status Line. <Ctrl-O> <Ctrl-Y> - Closes the second window. The computer will inform you if changes were made in the text and if the file was not yet saved, and will give you the opportunity to save the file. The second window will then disappear from the screen. The remaining window will fill up the complete screen.
